Ames Company's rounded head track shovel has a durable forged steel blade and a 47" northern ash handle for added strength, as well as a smooth back design which is intended to prevent mud and dirt build up and clumping. The extended sleeve socket adds additional strength to the handle/shovel connection point. The blade itself is double taper forged and measures 8-3/4" x 11-1/2".
